All excursions include guide and transport. Try the Tramuntana Traverse - This one-week walking trip concentrates on the rugged Tramuntana range which rises dramatically out of the plains then plunges steeply into the sea. Scenery aside, there are traditional towns and villages to explore along with monasteries and a spectacular railway journey. The Serra de Tramuntana range offers some of the Mediterranean's finest mountain scenery and is a world away from the crowded Costas. We visit the island in autumn and spring when the weather is at its kindest. Walking is graded as moderate, with the possibility to opt out of any day's activity. Hiking Adventures Pollensa and the surrounding areas offer some of the best walks
on the whole of Mallorca. For those interested in Bird watching,
the Boquer valley which is a 15 minute walk from the sea front
of Puerto Pollenca, is a wonderful area for seeing many species
of birds, It is a favourite place for migratory birds in the spring
and autumn. Warblers, Flycatchers, Woodchat Shrikes, Bee-eaters,
Hoopoes, Crag martins Booted Eagles, Ospreys and Falcons can often
be seen. Many of our walks are great for Bird watching, Painting
and Photography.
Some of the other walks worth doing are the Victoria Peninsular, the Castillo del Reys and the walk over to Cala San Vicente, with a visit to the 3000 year old burial caves. Then within a 30 minute drive we can be in the Tramuntana mountain range. Some of the highest mountains are to be found here, Massanella and Puig Major are the highest at 1340+ metres. There are lots of lovely walks some 3 to 4 hours long and others which will take around 5 to 6 hours. We have walks to suit everyone no matter how experienced you might be.
